Great spot downtown
We stay here for business a couple of weekends a month. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the location is awesome! Each room has a coffeemaker, fridge and microwave which we this are nice perks. Love this older, historic hotel:)
I won't stay there again
Below average Hotel.
The staff was friendly and polite as they should be. I checked in, got room card, went to room could not get in. The card worked, but the door was locked from the inside & I could hear the tv on. I went back down the stairs(stairwell – smelled like someone just smoked a pack of cigarettes) and she gave me another room, she said the 1st room should have been empty. I went back up the smoky stairs to my 2nd room. In the bathroom there was a dirty purple shirt hanging on the door. I tossed it on the floor and and checked the rest of the room. The bed was fresh and clean, the cloth chair had cigarette burn holes in it, and the curtain won’t pull open. I just wanted to sleep. This hotel didn’t feel secure as I didn’t see any security cameras anywhere. The park across the street was having a May event which attracted a crowd that the police felt should have some presence. There were about 20 cops that I could count, but no security in the hotel. Lastly, when every the remodel was on this hotel, it wasn’t current and the workmanship was poor. I have been to 22 countries and have stayed at similar places, but accept it because they are 3rd world countries and they do their best. Being in the US, I expect more.
Avoid this one!!!!!!
Average Hotel in Olympia downtown
The first time I use coast hotel. The one is dated but functional hotel in downtown though I do not know how old the building it is, not antique. They have limit parking, the night I arrived around 10PM I can not find parking in their lot, so I have to park on street. Beautiful go early to secure a parking.
Since I arrived in late night, there is not enough hot water in room to get a warm shower, temperature between cold and warm, I guess they run out of hot water, LOL. The next morning, Hot water comes back.
It’s dated, so do not expect everything functional. The elevator was down next day, those senior people have to get up and down by stairs, good thing is they only have 6 floors.
Breakfast is super 8 level.
Location is good, in city center, if you want to go bars at night though it’s small city Olympia, not very much people and fun.
Worst hotel stay in my entire life
Everything i typedbefore this sums it all up! Does your review website also not work? Wouldn’t be surprised. Guess I have to type 200 words. Training. Cleaning. Maintenance. Communicate better w customers.
Great and Quiet
We spend one night at The Governor in Olympia on our way north. The hotel is well managed and quiet. Reception was fast and efficient. Our room a Double-Queen was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was basic, but more than adequate.
