Great location and FREE parking
Picked this hotel for its proximity to Universal Studios. Staff was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. I didn’t try the restaurant, but the option of room service was nice. It was my birthday and when my friend called to ask about having a cake or dessert delivered, although they couldn’t take her credit card over the phone, they delivered a complimentary brownie with a candle to my room and even sang to me. I’d stay here again!!
Excellant 2 night stay!
I found this place when I was booking tickets for Universal Studios. I wanted somewhere reasonable since my husband and I were just needing a place to rest at. This place caught my eye, especially the fact when they provide a shuttle to and from universal Studios. That sold me. From catching the shuttle in the morning, it was a nice pleasant drive. Also, my husband and I requested the shuttle to pick us up 7:30PM from Universal Studios, by 5pm, we were drained. So I called the hotel to see if we can get pick up at the next scheduled time and they were able to accommodate us. I also noticed this place is close to Porto’s Bakery so that is a plus! If my husband and I are ever in the area, we are going to stay here again!
Best of Burbank
We have stayed in several different Burbank hotels in the past couple of years. The Coast Anabelle is by far our favorite. We will continue to make it our number one pick. Book ahead if you can! Pros include excellent beds and bedding, blackout curtains, spotlessly clean, and luxe bathrooms. Our room had a large glass shower with both regular and rain showerheads. It is a small family run hotel that truly cares about quality. Large mini fridge was handy. FREE PARKING AND WIFI, unusual in LA! Last hotel was 35 dollars a day.
The restaurant is surprisingly good and staffed by enthusiastic and experienced folks who love their jobs. Lourdes and Ana you rock! The bar drinks were also top notch. CVS and an Argentine bakery are within 2 blocks.
A great choice if you are not into the large chain hotels.
An Oasis within Burbank
Being our first visit to the L.A. area, the self contained amenities that the Annabelle offered made it our choice of hotel to stay at. The hotel is located away from any city centres which helps it stay quiet and safe but also means lack of night life except for the in house bar which is lovely. The attached restaurant proved to be very handy as a few times we just couldn’t be bothered finding a place to eat which meant booking a taxi then having to book another taxi home. When you factor in all the tips that a meal outside of the hotel would entail, eating in the hotel made both economic and logistical sense. We visited in December, the hotel was decorated for Christmas, it was odd experiencing the holiday season in warm weather. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was very good and the rooms fulfilled our needs nicely. Service from all the staff was great but I especially want to mention the bartenders; Dennis and his colleague (whose name escapes me) were the life of the hotel. They both made our stay and provided great late night conversation and entertainment. If we needed to stay near L.A. again the Coast Annabelle would be our first choice.
Universal family vacation
This hotel was excellent. Our room was meticulously cleaned daily and was refreshing upon our return each day. Shuttle service eliminated the need for a rental car and was prompt and responsive. The attached restaurant served excellent food and was so varied there was no need to go out for any meals. Highly recommended for a vacationing family!
