Coast Anabelle Hotel
Friendly, safe hotel
Everything about Coast Anabelle was comfortable and welcoming. After a long day in traffic and working, it was good to get back to the hotel. Staff was super friendly. Restaurant was better than average.
Lovely, welcoming, friendly Staff made our visit to Burbank Extremely Enjoyable.
Room was very clean & nice with comfortable beds and a fantastic shower!
Loved everything about the Anabelle Hotel!
Will definitely visit again!
Cozy, clean, comfortable, LOVE IT
This is the best hotel we have stayed at in a long time. It is incredibly clean and comfortable and the staff amazingly nice and accommodating. It’s no frills, basic amenities, but it’s a rare hotel where I forgot I was in a hotel and felt at home. Beds and pillows really comfortable. The bathrooms were newly remodeled and very nice and clean. Warm, strong shower, great bathroom products, great blow dryer. Extremely quiet rooms – never heard our neighbors – but first night the downstairs bar was a little loud but once we put the fan on low it was fine. The only complaint was a loud refrigerator noise, so we just unplugged it. We have stayed at other “swankier” hotels in Burbank which were a disaster, and are sold on the Coast Annabelle from now on. Didn’t eat at the restaurant so cannot attest to food there. Can’t rave enough – love the Coast Annabelle.
Clean, but average. Wouldn't come back.
One thing this property has going for is that it’s CLEAN. Not much more I can really say about it because it’s an average and dated budget property (at least the room I was in) and perfect if you just need a one nighter and aren’t going to be in your room for too long. The beds and sheets DEFINITELY need to be updated as they were probably the most uncomfortable part of the night but hey, I guess…they were… clean so it had that going for it; the refrigerator you can hear buzzing throughout the night and the walls were thin; AC worked efficiently, closest was tiny but yup, it was clean as well. The toilet pressure: not so good; the shower pressure: good; but I was given an Accessible/ADA room even though I booked a regular room and the front desk never commented nor gave me the option for the actual room I booked – maybe they thought I wouldn’t notice the difference? The room was appointed with a small desk but no free outlets to actually plug in my laptop or charge my phone near the desk or anywhere easily accessible; I had to physically move a chair or get behind the night stand to get to an available plug; imagine if an actual disabled person needed to plug something in? *Scratches head*.. Wow this room just doesn’t make sense.” Wifi worked great and on multiple devices. Parking was free. If you are paying the same amount of money, one of the newer cookie-cutter branded properties would be more comfortable based on quality of beds alone. Even at peak times, this property should charge no more than $100-125/night for the quality of rooms and level of services provided; if you are going to pay $200/night that’s a pretty hard pill to swallow. Now, to be fair maybe their non-ADA rooms are a step up and are on a level that deserves such consistent praise as I’m reading review after review on how nice the rooms are but for what I paid and for what I was given – I’m not at all planning a repeat visit anytime soon. And that’s my honest word.
In Town for Morricone Concert
I stayed at the Coastal Anabelle on two other occasions before this stay. In the fall of 2008 I was in LA on business for two weeks and stayed and I then in the fall of 2013 for a week with the family on pleasure. In the spring of 2014 my wife and I stayed at the Anabelle while in LA to see a concert at the Nokia Theatre. All these stays have been wonderful! I have nothing but complimentary things to say about this hotel and its staff. Helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms, easy access to the hotel and the location can’t be beat. The hotel is really in a perfect location for a business or pleasure trip and the neighborhood is very clean and safe. I will have no problems staying here on future trips!
