Hotel is fine, staff is apathetic, told them we were their for our 25th anniversary, didn't care

The hotel is fine. If you want to swim that is at the hotel next door. We did not. if you want food, I think there is a restrauant. When we checked in, it was July and the AC in the room was not working. When we called the front desk they said it would be fine, give it time. After insisting, someoen came up and said it was not working so they gave us a different room. We never unpacked so it wasn’t an issue. HOWEVER 4 days later when we checked out, they questioned if we had eaten at the restrauant, they ahd a bill, It wasn’t ours, never saw their restrauant. Then they showed us a PHYSICAL bottle of water. The seal on it was broken, they said it was from our original room and wanted to charge us for it. First, we never touched anything, but I have NEVER had a hotel front desk PHYSICALLY hold on to a bottle of water for 4 days, just to ask us to pay for it. WOW!

Cozy & Quaint

Very nice place to stay…loved the interior look of hotel and the bar/restaurant was a plus. The pool was across the way in their sister hotel but it was a short walk and very accomodating. Rooms were comfortable, clean and the shower was amazing.

Ron and Kris

I highly recommend Coast Anabelle Hotel. Parking was free, the room was great. We ate in the Restaurant everyday during our stay, the prices were moderate. We were located close to the places we wanted to visit.

Relaxing stay

Enjoyed our stay in this place with relaxing beds and pillows, nicely sized bathroom, and affable approachable staff. They also have a convenient shuttle service to local attractions for our kids. They have a nice restaurant too for breakfast, and dinner. Definitely recommend staying here for families visiting the area for Universal Studious or Disneyland.

Failure to Protect and Fairly Compensate

We arrived before midnight ready to sleep in our prepaid, deluxe queen suite. We needed to attend our son’s surgery in the morning. However, from midnight to 6 a.m., the guests in the room next to us drunkenly partied with dozens of people coming and going, two boom boxes playing at the same time, and people yelling, jumping on furniture and throwing things. Worse, our main door was repeatedly knocked on, knob jiggled, and rammed by newcomers. That was repeated by drunks trying to get in the connecting door. Night management acknowledged failure to control it despite four visits and saying, “the house is full and I was overwhelmed.” We are older, and decided not to call the police. It was more important to try to get any sleep possible due to our demanding day.
Ready to leave for the hospital, my husband told the morning manager then demanded compensation and fairness. He was told the people next to us were staying (!!) and that they would try to move us. He repeated his demands after expressing that we get punished with inconvenience while the violators get rewarded
Later that exhausting day, we got to pack up and be moved to a vastly different, single bed, dark room on the other side of the hotel. We took it because we HAD TO GET AWAY and had to get back to our son. Getting sick arguing was eliminated from our thoughts. The desk gave us two $15 vouchers to eat at the restaurant.
The next morning at 8:05 a.m., I was woken by a phone call from the manager apologizing and asking if I received the vouchers! I told her yes, we didn’t have time to use them yet, and ended the call. I was not going to begin my day educating her on customer service.
How unfair to prepay for a large, deluxe queen suite with all the extra space, furniture, and amenities and then not get compensated for a dark room with one bed, one sink, only the desk chair, no lamps (only overhead can lights), etc. How unfair to lose a night’s sleep to learn we had to move and the violators got to stay? How unfair that our only true choice was to attend and nurse our son versus fighting with the hotel or finding and moving to a new hotel.
What terrible decision making. What terrible customer service. The hotel was so glad everything was “resolved.” With vouchers for eggs and moving us to a poor quality room. No, we just focused emotionally on what was important and gutted it out until we left. We can not recommend this hotel.
