Awesome awesome awesome
Spent a long weekend here and absolutely loved it. The highlight was hands down the rainshower…wow. That combined with the plush robes, super soft pillows, great food/drinks and amazing staff will bring us back for sure. Have to give a shout out to the bartenders who took such good care of us, Dennis and Luke. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. Shuttle to/from airport and Universal was wonderful. Can’t say enough great things about this place. Thank you!

Great stay with family
Awesome place and location. Very close to universal studios many options for restaurants and stores. The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable and a nice little restaurant/bar inside there. The staff were awesome and very welcoming. Could be loud at times as we were assigned to the room right behind the front desk even though the hotel seemed empty, we were advised that that was the only room left or the one next to the restaurant. We will definitely come back in the future.

A lovely hotel where everyone was so friendly and the room was excellent. Two of the servers were incredibly friendly and we engaged well with them. Our one evening server was not so friendly but efficient nonetheless. The front desk was always efficient , friendly and helpful.
Lies--if you stay here, document who you speak to.
Upon checking in, we discovered that our reservation was not accurate. We booked a Universal package online through the Coast Hotels website, but were told during check-in that we did not have the package. After booking online my husband called Coast Annabelle, provided the reservation number, confirmed the Universal package, confirmed how to add two children’s tickets (and pricing), and also booked the shuttle. We assumed our mini-vacation was in order.
Unfortunately, at check in were told otherwise. The shuttle was reserved and that was it. We were told that WE made the mistake, that WE should have caught the error on the email confirmation and that we would now have to pay for all four Universal tickets separately. In addition, the Universal ticket prices increased as well. Suddenly, theses were not what were quoted either. It felt very much like a scam and we were stuck. Having driven seven hours with two exhausted children who were looking forward to Universal, we didn’t have much of a choice but to pay more.
Check-in took an hour and we still ended up paying more. The front desk insisted we were wrong, claimed to have spoken to management, and seemed annoyed that I was asking to have our package honored. I was even drug through a patronizing demonstration of how to book the package. When I stated we followed those steps, I was treated like a liar because our email confirmation showed “best rate” versus “Universal package.” I repeatedly explained that as a customer, it is not within my scope of understanding to know the difference considering I clicked on Universal package, selected the date for the tickets, & confirmed this package with the hotel AFTER booking the reservation & used our reservation number to do so.
Additional notes about our stay:
1. We were told that if we desired an earlier shuttle from Universal all we had to do was call, but when we attempted this, we were told that we could not be picked up.
2. We were told there was 24hr room service, but when we attempted to order breakfast before Universal, we were told that breakfast didn’t start until 7am. Other that the late night menu times I did not see breakfast restriction times listed in the room service menu.
While these last two are minor grievances, the cumulative effect was that we felt perpetually mislead and disappointed by the service. Needless to say, despite a very comfortable room, we will not stay at Coast Annabelle for future Universal visits.
Not as close to the theme park as I expected, but shuttle service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were very clean, hotel well presented. Room service slow but high quality. Good value with AAA discount!
