Our hotel is located about a 45-minute drive west on Kaumualiʻi Highway (Hawaii Route 50) from Lihue Airport (LIH). Get directions from the airport to Waimea Plantation Cottages.

Waimea Plantation Cottages does not allow pets on the premises other than certified service animals.

Chicken in a Barrel BBQ offers a diverse menu of American fare, pizza and BBQ dishes available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Notably, the restaurant boasts "The Barrel Taps," which stands as Kauai's premier self-serve beer wall.

There is a free self-serve guest laundry facility on property. Guests receive the code for the laundry room as well as a resort map in their check-in folder. Detergent may be picked up at the front desk free of charge. See our amenities and services for more details.

There are no dry-cleaning services on the property.

Built between the 1880s and 1930s, our 59 historic cottages have been lovingly refreshed but retain the simple charm of the Hawaii plantation era. Each cottage offers casual Hawaiian décor, a full kitchen, and a private lanai. You may book a one- to five-bedroom cottage with the view of your choice: oceanfront, ocean-view, or garden-view cottage. Check out our accommodation options - view cottages.

There are no connecting cottages. There is landscaping between the cottages that offer privacy and enhances the peacefulness of the property. If you have special needs, please call the front desk at 808.338.1625, so the staff can help with your reservation. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

If you are traveling with a baby or an infant, the resort has a limited number of Pack ‘n Play portable cribs. Please call the front desk at 808.338.1625 to add the request to your reservation. Or send an email to res@waimeaplantation.com requesting to reserve a Pack ‘n Play crib.

Gather your loved ones together for an unforgettable wedding celebration at the historic Manager's Cottage at Waimea Plantation Cottages. This gracious, oceanfront home is a 5-bedroom, 4,300 square foot, craftsman-style bungalow. Set in the center of our picturesque, 43-acre resort on a wide green lawn at the edge of the 2-mile-long black-sand beach, it is tailor-made for a romantic wedding. Most nuptials are held under the 100-foot-tall Banyan Tree in front of the cottage followed by a wedding reception on the lawn al fresco under the stars or possibly under an event tent complete with dance floor. We accept the following the following cards MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diner's Club. Cash and debit can be used as tender at time of check-out. All guests must provide a valid credit card with matching identification card upon check-in.

Our flexible cancellation policy allows for reservations to be canceled seven days (168 hours) prior to 3pm local hotel time on the day of check-in to avoid a penalty of the full reservation value. Guests booking more than six (6) nights and/or reserving more than one cottage will be charged a deposit of 50% room and tax at the time of booking; the deposit is non-refundable if the reservation is canceled within 59 days or less of the confirmed date. Some promotions or discounted rates may have an alternative cancellation policy that is listed on the Offer Details or within the Terms & Conditions.
