Griffith Observatory

The Griffith Observatory is located on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park. Enjoy views of the Los Angeles Basin, including Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood and the Pacific Ocean. The observatory is a popular spot for tourists, offering a close-up view of the Hollywood Sign and a variety of space and science exhibits.

The park itself offers more than 50 miles of trails throughout its wilderness areas and multiple trailheads. Dogs can roam free without a leash in the designated dog park located on North Zoo Drive at the north end of a soccer field. The Griffith Park is only a short ten minute drive from Coast Anabelle Hotel and Safari Inn, a Coast Hotel.
