not bad

the room is ok clear. maybe it is a pet friendly room as they mention. the carpet is not as clean and there are no sleeper in the room. So we all have to wear our shoes inside which is not that comfortable. The AC inside the room are way too loud. Lucky i have a pair of earplug to wear.

Wonderful Place To Stay At

Excellent place to stay at in Revelstoke- break your journey here if travelling over long distance; also this hotel would offer an excellent choice for honeymoon, conferences, business meetings, strategic planning etc.

A tranquill getaway!

Having stayed in hotels across North America. This hotel is one of the best! Very Very CLEAN, very hospitable, excellent meals and wonderful, cheerful service. Who could ask for anything more!!! The location overlooks the distant river and mountains, high on a hill in a very quiet location. The room we had, had a balcony on which one could take the sun. There is heliskiing from this hotel. Because the owner is Swiss the quality of services, cleanliness and value is definitely the best I’ve experienced. The management and service personnel are cheerful, helpful and prompt to meet a guests needs.
The hotel is rustic in design, the rooms are very quiet. The restaurant food is delicious. Have never
had a bad meal there.

Great stay

We stayed at the cast for a couple nights as we took a mini vacation to Revelstoke. Room was great, large, clean and well laid out. The front desk was able to accommodate our requests and the evening front desks ladies went well beyond simple service in helping us find a restaurant in town to celebrate our anniversary. Hotel is beautiful, stay was great and we look forward to returning.

Good mix of comfort and ambiance at the Hillcrest

My husband and I were travelling west through Revelstoke area on our way from Calgary to Kelowna. We stayed one night on the way to out and one on the way back to Calgary so we were able to experience this place twice in two weeks. My hubby likes rustic and I like comfort so this was a good compromise. The log decor and the views gave him the mountain cabin feel and had the amenities I expected.

The bathroom was modern and clean, the bed was super comfy with white fluffy linens. The supplied toiletries were good. The front desk staff was very good at sorting out some of my concerns and quickly made them right for us. Wait staff in the attached restaurant were quick and helpful.. We ate breakfast twice – I had eggs Benedict and hubby had their usual breakfast buffet. There is a nice bar and an outdoor patio to enjoy as well as their indoor restaurant.

Our room did have some issues on our first night. The floor is not carpeted which is fine however it wasn’t clean enough to walk around without shoes or slippers. I felt like it hadn’t been washed between guests and maybe not even swept thoroughly. The room amenities were not replenished from previous guests as we were missing one robe and one coffee cup and coffee. Our room’s balcony was shared with other guests on the same level and overlooks the restaurant patio below. There is a glass door out to the balcony which has a window blind for privacy. Our blind was broken and did not reach the floor so our privacy was poor. We were in full view of the tables on the patio below. The TV channels offered were mostly sports related, reception on night one was less than acceptable. Not sure if this was due to the mountain location. Slow internet – not a deal breaker for us. Night two on our return visit we were upgraded to a nicer location with a private balcony, working window blinds, and a Jacuzzi tub in our room which we did not use. We really liked the hot tub on the covered public patio that overlooked the mountains and we used that twice during our stay. The temp was perfect, seemed clean enough and towels were provided beside the tub – not a large hot tub but just right for 4 people to share at a time without listening to each other’s conversations. You did have to walk through the lobby to get to it but we covered up with the big fluffy robes in our room. Perfect! There were also some comfy chairs circled around a propane fire pit feature but it was not lit either time we were there. It would have been nice if the staff had lit it seeing that there were a number of people staying at the hotel and using the hot tub while we were there. The weather was chilly at night and it would have made our experience even better to have that in use.

Location of this hotel is great, right off the highway, marked by a very large sign at the end of the long driveway. They have ample parking in a wooded and landscaped setting with a covered carport. A short drive into the town of Revelstoke.
