Things We Love to Do in Campbell River
We don’t just work here, we live and play here, too. These are some of our favourite spots you won’t want to miss while you’re in town. We’ve highlighted a few well-known attractions as well as a couple of local gems you may not have heard about, but we think are well worth a visit. Need more hints about where to go and what to do? Just ask! We’d love to give you the inside scoop.
Campbell River Whale Watching
Witness the awe-inspiring beauty of nature on a high-speed zodiac on the Campbell River! Or take in the unforgettable sight of Orcas on a whale watching expedition.
Storey Creek Golf Course
This championship course is incredibly lush and beautiful. Find out why it’s been counted one of the best places to play in North America by Golf Digest.
Pier Street Farmers Market
See the wealth of fresh produce and meats our local farms have to offer. Grab lunch and enjoy the arts, crafts, and live music. Sundays, from May through September.
See why we’re known as the salmon capital of the world—though that’s not all you can catch around here. Our year-round fresh and saltwater fishing is outstanding, and there are plenty of charters and tours to be had.
The Canyon View Trail
A well-maintained, 6 km loop trail that winds along the banks of the Campbell River. Highlights include an 80-foot suspension walkway that spans the canyon and offers spectacular views of the pristine waters below, whitewater rapids, and spawning salmon in the fall.
