Shaftesbury Trail

The Shaftesbury Trail is one of the most scenic and interesting drives in the Peace Region. There are plenty of historical sights which highlight how the region was used by the First Nations and Metis fur traders. Points of interest include Fort Fork, MacKenzie Cairn and St. Augustine’s Mission.

Bring your dog along for the ride as there are plenty of points along the trail to stop and take in your surroundings. Perhaps bring a lunch and stop for a picnic at Strong Creek Park before ending the excursion with a ride on the Shaftesbury Ferry into Tangent Park.
