What are the check-in and check-out times?
How do I get to the hotel from the nearest airport?
Coast Calgary University Area Hotel by APA is about 20 to 25 minutes from Calgary International Airport, YYC, depending on traffic, weather and road conditions. The drive is approximately 17 to 20 km, making YYC the closest major airport for people flying into Calgary and staying near the University of Calgary, McMahon Stadium and the Banff Trail CTrain Station.

Does the hotel have a swimming pool/hot tub?
Yes. Our University District hote has a heated indoor atrium pool and hot tub. Enjoy a swim, relax after a busy day or take a soak before settling in for the night. Please note, this area is accessible by stairs only. Check the hotel amenities page for current hours.
Does the hotel have onsite parking?
Yes. Calgary University District hotel has onsite parking, including free outdoor onsite parking with parking lot outlets and engine block heater access for colder Calgary nights. Gated underground parking is also available, along with accessible parking outdoors and underground. Oversize parking is offered for larger vehicles.
Can I modify my reservation?
We recommend to call our Central Reservations line at 800.716.6199 or email us at info@coasthotels.com if you need to modify your hotel reservation. Please have the confirmation number ready which can be found on the reservation confirmation email.

Is the hotel pet friendly?
Yes, Our Calgary hotel has pet-friendly rooms and welcomes both cats and dogs for a daily fee. Our location is convenient for Calgary stays that include medical visits, veterinary appointments, campus plans or time with family nearby. For everyone’s comfort, pets must be leashed or in a carrier in public areas and should not be left unattended in guest rooms.

Does the hotel have a gym or fitness centre?
Yes. Stay active during your stay with a workout in our 24-hour fitness centre, located on the main floor with keycard access. What type of room can I book?
You can book a Coast Premium Queen, Coast Two Queens, Coast Premium Two Queens, Coast Premium King, Coast Premium King Suite, Coast King Suite or accessible room. Options include solo travelers, couples, families, friends, pet-friendly stays and longer visits. All room types include free wi-fi, a work desk, fridge, microwave, premium coffee machine and a 50" TV with casting – view rooms.
Does the hotel have connecting rooms?
Yes. Coast Calgary University Area Hotel by APA has a limited number of connecting rooms, with four connecting rooms available. Two are connected to Coast Accessible Queen Sofa Bed rooms. Please contact the hotel before booking or arrival so our team can help confirm availability for your stay.
Are cots/cribs/playpens available?
Yes. Rollaway beds and cribs are available on request, based on availability. Playpens are not available. Rollaway beds can be added to select room types, including Coast Two Queens, Coast Premium Two Queens, Coast Premium King Suite and Coast King Suite. Please contact the hotel before booking or arrival to confirm availability for your stay.
Does the hotel accommodate wedding guests?
Yes. Our hotel near the University of Calgary can accommodate wedding guests, ceremonies and receptions. Groups can also request a group room block for friends and family staying overnight, with planning support, catering options and convenient hotel amenities to help make the celebration easier for everyone. What type of payment is accepted to pay for a room?
We accept the following cards: Visa, Mastercard/Eurocard, American Express, Diners Club and Japan Credit Bureau, JCB. Cash and debit can be used as tender at the time of check-out. All guests must provide a valid credit card with matching government-issued photo identification upon check-in.
What is the cancellation policy?
Our flexible cancellation policy allows for reservations to be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to 3pm local hotel time on day of check-in to avoid a penalty of one (1) night room plus tax at the confirmed rate. Some hotel promotions or discounted rates may have an alternative cancellation policy that is listed on the Offer Details or within the Terms & Conditions.
