Spring Breakup Rodeo & Dance

Experience the excitement of professional rodeo at the Spring Breakup Rodeo & Dance, held at the Ovintiv Events Centre in Dawson Creek during the Spring. This dual-sanctioned CPRA/PRCA event brings together top competitors showcasing their skills in classic rodeo events such as Saddle Bronc, Bareback, Bull Riding, Steer Wrestling, Barrel Racing, Team Roping, Tie-Down Roping, and Breakaway Roping.

Bucking stock from the renowned Calgary Stampede Ranch adds to the high-energy action, promising thrilling rides and unforgettable moments. After the rodeo, the fun continues with a lively Dance in the Dirt, featuring live country music.

Families can enjoy the Junior Rodeo, where young riders compete in events including Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, and Team Roping. Mutton Busting for kids ages 4–7 takes place during the evening show.
