Picturesque Scenery

In Canmore, you have 360 degrees of picture-perfect scenery as the backdrop for your wedding photos. In fact, there are several locations made popular for this very reason. Here are a few photoshoot spots that rank high on the list.

Quarry Lake Park

At the foot of the peaks of Mount Lawrence Grassi and Rundle Mountain, there is a gorgeous turquoise lake that makes for stunning reflection shots. Then, wander to the nearby trails for some photos in the vast alpine forest.

The Old Railway Bridge

There’s a lot of history in Canmore as it was once a busy mining town. An old railway crossing has been converted into a pedestrian bridge, and it’s a popular photo spot. The bridge is also accessible from many mountain trails, which are great backdrops.

Three Sisters Lookout

There are plenty of landmarks around Canmore, and Three Sisters peaks are one. This lookout provides panoramic views of the valley and mountain range, making it another lovely setting for photos. three sisters look out near Canmore

Whitemans Pond

Nestled into the side of a large rock face sits Whitemans Pond. This location is almost completely protected from the wind, so it’s ideal for those mirror reflection shots on the still waters. You’ll have to make it up a bumpy gravel road, so be prepared.

Riverside Park

If you have a lot of people in your party, then this may be a good choice as there are paved walking trails, benches, and tables for people to get off their feet while the newlyweds get their close-ups. Like most photo ops in Canmore, this spot has a lovely view of the mountains and Bow River.
