Very nice hotel, just needs to up their environmentally friendly game
Overall our stay was very nice. The room was clean and well presented. Even though we were beside the stairs it was pretty quiet, which is not always the case. It would have been nice to have an outlet that was more accessible for our electronics (rather than un-plugging the lamps, etc). We couldn’t have coffee as there was only the single serving Keurig option with disposable cups. This was just too much garbage. We brought in our own cups to use but couldn’t get them to fit in the little slot on the Keurig. Disappointing there’s still so much disposable amenities. However the larger size lotion/shampoo/conditioner was very nice, rather than the little single use items. You’re almost there!
Good, but weird smell
Decent hotel, but room had very off, musty smell like melting plastic associated with AC unit. Room service trays piled around hallways. Otherwise ok. Restaurant ons
ite is good. Location is convenient.
I travel to Lethbridge on business monthly and have been trying different hotels to find a regular spot. The Coast is OK. Decode and atmosphere is a little old and dated. The room was OK. Pretty basic, with outdated amenities (radio clock with a docking station for old wheel iPods?) not enough outlets for devices in convenient areas, and barely functioning air conditioner.
To top it off, they refused to accommodate a late (1 hr) check out. In all my business travels, I have never had a problem with requesting a late check out.
I guess the search continues.
After a long drive we were looking forward to a soak in the hot tub only to discover on check in that the pool and hot tub were down for maintenance. I reserved my room in person and would have liked to have been informed at that time. I would have booked elsewhere.
This location did not quite meet the expectations that other Coast Hotel locations have created for us. Room was quite small for a king size bed and very poorly layed out making the bed the only spot to view the TV from, without picking up the armchair and lifting it over the bed to place it on the other side of the room. When at the front desk checking in and getting the room was just asked what we wanted for a room. And when we responded that we wanted something with a king bed we not given any of the different options for level of king size rooms.
Restaurant’s room service was a hassle as it took 15 minutes just to get a hold of them to place the order. Once placed was told 15-20 minutes for order, 50 mins later food arrived. Was nothing complex in the order. Caesar salads had no dressing on the salad. 8fl oz(273ml) glass bottle of coke was $4.
Bed was very comfortable which is a Coast normality and one of the big reasons we choose Coast locations.
This is one of the Coast Hotel locations that does not offer the complimentary breakfast and the restaurant breakfast menu was pricey like the rest of it.
