Edgar Farms

Edgar Farms is a seasonal farm stop near Innisfail with a real Central Alberta story behind it. The farm has been in the Edgar family for more than 100 years, beginning with a 320-acre homestead purchased in 1907, and it is now a six-generation farm known for growing some of Alberta’s best local produce.

Visitors know Edgar Farms for fresh asparagus, garden peas, beans and other seasonal favourites, but the Country Store adds even more reason to stop. Shelves are filled with farm-made preserves, pies, soups, ready-to-heat meals, frozen vegetables and fermented vegetables, many made with ingredients grown right on the farm. The farm is also known for home-raised Angus beef, with cattle raised on forage and grain grown at the Innisfail farm, then aged and prepared for flavour and tenderness. For visitors who enjoy local food, farm shopping and bringing home something from the region, Edgar Farms feels worth planning around.
