We don’t just work here, we live and play here, too. These are some of our favourite spots you won’t want to miss while you’re in town. We’ve highlighted a few well-known attractions as well as a couple of local gems you may not have heard about, but we think are well worth a visit. Need more hints about where to go and what to do? Cascades Casino Kamloops
Your Kamloops entertainment destination. Enjoy exciting slots, table games and live entertainment during the weekend. Cascades Casino is fun for everyone. Cascades Casino is a short walk from our hotel with complimentary shuttle service on Saturday evenings upon request.
Kamloops Heritage Railway
Kamloops’ very own 2141 Steam Locamotive has had a Winter break and is ready for another epic season of railtours!
The season receives a special kick-off with a Summer Shakedown event on Thursday Jun 30th. Cake and celebrations at 12 pm, train leaves the station for it’s first tour of the season at 1 pm sharp!
Summer Railtours are every Thursday and Friday evening at 7:30pm in July, 7pm in August, and Saturdays at noon both months.
Be sure to take in the following events:

Christmas Train – December 9, 10, 11, 17, 18, 19

One time per year, on a Friday & Saturday in August, 13 city blocks in downtown Kamloops, BC are closed off to allow Street Rods, Customs, American Muscle, Sport-compact, Tuners, British, European, Asian, Collector, Vintage, Motorcycles, Race Competition vehicles and Big Rigs, to line the streets for the annual
Tractors, to line the streets for the annual Hot Nite In The City Show ‘n Shine! This year marks the 21st annual event and it’s ideal for people of all ages. Admission to the event is FREE
5th Annual Kamloops RibfestAug 5, 2016 11:00 am — Aug 7, 2016 9:00 pm
This summer, Ribfest will take over Riverside Park from Friday, August 5th – August 7th (11am to 9pm all three days) in Kamloops’ for a full weekend of fantastic, free, family fun. In conjunction with Hot Nite in the City, the highly successful Ribfest offers a rib cook-off between five champion barbeque teams; music and entertainment throughout the entire event; entertainment and activities for children and youth, as well as a Refreshment Center and a whole whack of great vendors.

Kamloops Heritage Railway’s 2141 Spirit of Kamloops Train has taken a long winter’s rest and is now ready for another epic season of railtours!
June 30th is the inaugural run. Celebrations at 12pm, train departure is 1 pm sharp!
The train will offer its annual 9;30 p.m. Canada Day fireworks run.
Summer railtours will be on Thursday and Friday nights at 7:30 p.m. in July and 7 p.m. in August.
Saturday runs during both months will be at noon.
