Town of Edson walking trails
Edson’s walking trails make it easy to add a little fresh air and local scenery to your trip without going far. The town has an extensive mix of paved and unpaved paths that wind through green spaces, mature trees and quiet corners of the community. If you are staying at Coast Edson Hotel, the 56th Street trail head is the closest place to start, with paved trails that lead north toward a pond and fountain or south toward Griffiths Park, the airport area and Bench Creek.
Other trail heads around town open up even more ways to explore. The 10th Avenue and 43rd Street access takes you through a treed area near the creek, with routes leading toward the soccer pitches, community garden, Kinsmen Park and Hillendale. The 6th Avenue and 42nd Street trail head connects you to more paved and natural trails on the east side of town. For a longer outdoor outing, Willmore Park sits about 6 km south of town with scenic views, multi-use trails and access to the McLeod River.
