Great location but poor view!
I think I had built this hotel up to be more amazing than I actually found it. Although there was nothing in particular wrong with our stay, I felt the room was a bit dated almost and just slightly dull. although the room itself was very well sized with a comfortable seating area too. The bed was a little smaller than some others we had during our trip to Canada but still very comfortable.
The hotel was in a lovely location but unfortunately, we didn’t have much of a view (our room was just over the main hotel entrance so we didn’t actually use our balcony).
The hotel itself is actually in a really good location, about 10-15 minute walk from central Victoria and I imagine the rooms facing the harbour had lovely views.
The pool area was really nice although the flooring was extremely slippery!!

Very nice stay at the hotel. Would come back again. Good location and expierience in the room and with the staff. Restaurant service was a little slow during one dining visit. Victoria is a wonderful city to visit.
We had a lovely time prior to our wedding when we decided to come a few days early and the hotel we were staying at for our wedding had no space earlier in the week.
They could upgrade the bathrooms and some of the public areas like the pool/locker rooms, but it was very comfortable in any event.
We had one snafu with an inattentive manager, but even though the hotel failed to acknowledge that mistake, they made up for it with various little touches from the rest of the staff.
The restaurant, food, drinks, and service were nothing special, but better than many hotel restaurants, so nothing bad there.
Great location, very friendly staff
This hotel is right on the bay and has great views. A minute’s walk to Fishermans Wharf for a casual meal or a short walk to the Inner Harbour. Staff are very friendly at the desk as well as in the restaurant. Harbour view rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Decks are great for views but too small for sitting. Free shuttle is great as is the free wifi.
A favourite in Victoria
When we attend a social event downtown and driving is not a wise option, rather than take a taxi home, we frequently extend the evening by staying here. The Coast Victoria Harbourside is my favourite “home away from home” in the city. The lounge and restaurant are wonderful, overlooking the harbour with plenty of seaplane, boating and pedestrian activity. The food, drinks and ambiance are good too. We had a 9th floor superior room overlooking James Bay and beyond to Hurricane Ridge on the Olympic Peninsula. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. (One improvement: please remove the watersaver from the showerhead or replace it; barely enough water to get wet and rinse off.) Staff are welcoming and helpful. We love coming back!
