Coast Victoria Harbourside Hotel & Marina
Great Hotel in Victoria
We’ve stayed there, I believe, five times now and they just keep getting better! The harbor side is where all the action is. I could just sit in their dining area and watch the float planes, harbor taxi’s, tugs, ships and police boats all day long!

The weather was on our side when we arrived at the hotel. I had called the hotel the night before and requested an early arrival, when we checked in our room was ready. What a great start to a even better weekend. The room had a great view of the harbour and the walkway. Everyone at the hotel was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was awesome with a mini fridge, coffee maker, and micro wave everything you need to make your stay a very pleasant experience. The parking is expensive so we parked at the lot that was only 1/2 a block away from the hotel and this was half the price. The pool area was a welcome oasis with a sauna, hot tub and indoor outdoor pool. Even though it was spring break we found ample time to use the facility without allot of younger bathers. We have stayed at several downtown hotels and we found the Coast Victoria Harbourside to be one of the best, we would recommend this property to friends and family and will be making it our number one choice for Victoria getaways in the future.

nice hotel, good location
This is a nice modern hotel in an attractive location with easy access to dining, sightseeing, and shopping. The food in the restaurant was tasty and the service was good. This sentence is padding because TripAdvisor requires 200 characters in a review.

Great service and views but getting tired!
We have stayed here at least four times over the past seven years. Wonderful location and a great staff but the hotel is getting a little worn. The linens in our room were torn and frayed and the carpet had small stains. In addition, you can see little places that need to have paint touch up. The room amenities…shampoos, etc. have definitely been downgraded to barely usable which is too bad because they used to be pretty decent.
Also, they have the low flow shower head, which is commendable, but it takes a long time to rinse off the harsh shampoo and soap. The housekeeping service was a little sloppy as with the towels hanging crooked and the bed linens not quite tidy.
In conclusion, this hotel needs some TLC to bring it back to it’s old self in terms of appearance. The front desk and bell staff are great and the employees working at the Blue Crab are absolutely top notch. This is still a good place to stay in Victoria, just hope they don’t let deferred maintenance get the better of them.

Great spring break in Victoria.
The location, the staff, and the hotel amenities are really great. We walked along the harbour into downtown each day and it is only about a 10-15 minute walk with the best views going on a walk (you walk past the parliament buildings and the Empress on the inner harbour). The rooms here (we had superior) could use a refresh like the Nanaimo Coast had as furniture is getting a bit tired (including my mattress). Nice and clean though. Coast staff keep the site really well maintained and I am always impressed by their friendliness. The pool/hot tub/sauna/exercise room are beautiful at this hotel. We swam everyday and the pool looks over the harbour (it is also half inside and half outside and the same depth (4 feet) all the way so great for kids). We ate in the hotel twice. First experience was slow but to be fair it was the last night of the dine out special. The second time we had some of the best service in the lounge I have had in a long time (from Glen I believe). I always stay at this hotel in Victoria. I do wish this hotel had 2 queens instead of 2 doubles but hardly a problem. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay and I really recommend it.
