Coast Victoria Harbourside Hotel & Marina
Lovely anniversary vacation stay
We didn’t know anything about this property before our trip, it came as part of a Victoria Clipper deal, but I think given a choice I would choose it again in a second. We arrived early hoping they might store our bags so we could explore but they did even better by letting us into our lovely corner room hours early. The room was large, and light and clean. Some parts were a bit dated esp the carpets but you could tell things were being renovated. We didn’t make time to try the pool but the area including the weight room looked nice. They are close to the water and within easy walking distance from the Clipper dock and the downtown area, we didn’t even get a car. The one day we wanted to go further away they graciously shuttled us to our destination. We were delightfully surprised on our anniversary night by the arrival of a plate of chocolate strawberries. A wonderful touch. The whole staff was friendly and helpful and made our stay happy and comfortable.
I want to come back here again!
We came up on The Victoria Clipper and took the tour to the Butchart Gardens and they dropped us off at the hotel. Our room was ready and I was very happy that we got a corner room. (I like having windows on two walls instead of one.) We had a view of the water. The staff is friendly and readily available. We were given a ride to a fancy Italian restaurant without missing our reservation by just showing up downstairs and asking. They were able to exchange our US dollars without having to find a bank. Jim (the manager) hosts a cocktail hour with really good food on Tuesdays. We met people that use this hotel all the time and some that had never been there before like us. I’d go back! At check out we were offered to check our luggage because The Clipper didn’t leave until evening and we wouldn’t have to drag it around all day.I had two good night’s sleep because we only stayed two nights All in all I’d say “I want to come back here again!”.
Close to the water is exactly what we wanted.
Our room was great the bathroom could use a bit of an update. Pool and hot tub was great. The blue Crab restaurant was terrific for lunch and breakfasts.
Parking underground was 15.95 plus tax per day.
This hotel came with friendly and excellent service from all staff I encountered. The rooms were very clean, although the pillows were quit flat and you only got 2. The food was delish! This hotel is situated very close to downtown and a short walk to many nearby attractions. The location is excellent. A lovely walk down the waterfront. The hotels work out room was top notch and was never over crowded, although the hot tub was small, and the pool water was cool. Overall this was a lovely stay and would return myself.

An excellent location with great staff
This hotel had most of the amenities and services I prefer to have when traveling at a reasonable price, and several pleasant surprises. The location is great; easy walking distance to the main attractions, either via the streets or the cute walkway along the water. It is in a pleasant residential area so it always felt safe, even when walking back at night. There’s a small store close by to purchase forgotten items. Every staff member I met was very friendly and helpful, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. We used the shuttle bus once and that was a big convenience. We ate twice in the lounge enjoying the beautiful harbor view and the food and service was top notch. The room was large, clean and comfortable, with a ‘fridge, coffee maker and a tea kettle(!) which we used. The bathroom had a big mirror, decent lighting and plenty of counter space which made getting ready to leave in the morning easy. We took advantage of the ATM in the lobby, as well. Minor quibbles: water pressure in the shower was low and the pillows, while plentiful, were terrible. There are many choices in Victoria but it’s hard to see how you could beat this.
