Coast Coal Harbour Hotel
Quiet comfort Vancouver
When I called ahead to confirm my reservation I mentioned that it would be my birthday while staying at the hotel. While checking in I was wished a happy birthday and was given a complimentary room upgrade. Thank you Coast Coal Harbour!. We stay at the Coast Coal Harbour once or twice a year. It is our preferred spot In Vancouver. Friendly staff, excellent location, quiet and well kept rooms. This hotel is consistent with its quality of service and value.
Amazing staff, beautiful location.
I was recently in town for Easter weekend to attend a Whitecaps game and stayed at the Coast Coal Harbour. We had a gorgeous room on the 19th floor overlooking the city. To my complete surprise, the concierge Grant had been arranged to hide an Easter egg hunt in the room while we were out at the game that evening – I could not believe the amazing effort! While I was unable to spend Easter with my family this year, I can still say it was one of the most memorable Easter’s to date! The sunny weather also allowed for a perfect stroll to the sea wall the next day, just minutes away.
The Coast Coal Harbour has never fallen short of anything but exceptional with it’s friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and perfect location. Will be returning soon!
This hotel is in a great location. Central to everything. The room was fantastic and had a balcony next to the pool. How nice in January to look onto this! I loved the fact that the restaurant was downstairs so no need to go outside for breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the room spotless. I would stay here again for sure!
The right place at the best price.
The Coast Coal Harbour is located in what I think is the best area to stay in when staying in downtown Vancouver.
The room is standard but up to date. It was clean and very functional and perfect for tourists looking to explore downtown Vancouver.
Within 5 min walking distance to Vancouver Convention Centre and a ten min drive to Stanley Park. We had some traffic on the way to Capillano Suspesion Bridge Park yet it took less than 20 min to get there from the Coast Coal Harbour.
There are many restaurants nearby to choose from. We picked The Cactus Club next to the convention centre and enjoyed a lovely meal with a view of the harbour.
The hotel internet was free and fast enough for googling and facebooking.
We did not try the hotel pool or fitness centre but had a quick look. The pool is located outside on the 5th floor.
They offer valet parking only and it is at the standard downtown price of 35 CAD. The valet staff were very accomodating and let us park our car for an hour in the drop off zone while we checked in and organized ourselves for the next adventure.
This is now my place to stay when in downtown Vancouver. Yes there is not much of a view but if you need a comfortable, clean, and well located place for a competative price then this is a top choice. If money is no object and you wanted to be by the waterfront then I would say check out the Fairmont Pacific Rim or the Pan Pacific Vancouver.

Great spot, great surface
Great location. Arrived early from long haul flight and room was ready! Bliss. Room compact but room enough for 3. 11 year old loved pool and spa which was quiet. Room was quiet and got a great sleep, also had a partial view over the harbour which was lovely.
No fridge, so unable to do more than a cup of tea, but Prestons was great. Had rather large breakfast servings there. Dinner there was also great.
Happy to recommend and stay there again.
