Good, clean hotel with lathe room.
I stayed in a large room. The hallway was pretty big and so was the bathroom. The toilet could’ve been shifted a bit and not so close to the corner. Shower design was strange with small, plastic, white shower head. The base of the shower room itself was unusual as well, as if people can roll on it (see the pictures). Seems like it was a room for people with disabilities. But I can’t complain, being fairly large, I didn’t experience much discomfort. Room was big as well. TV was quite small for the size of the room but had many channels including on demand. The view was of nearby buildings given this is a “comfort 1″ room. No idea what it means, except it is cheaper. One thing I would recommend to the hotel is making taller hangers. But then again, it seemed to be an ADD room.
Great location. Hotel is close to Stanley Park and Vancouver Convention Centre. There are a number of shops and restaurants within a five minute walk of the hotel. Hop On Hop Off buses are also fairly close by with a reasonable charge. $45.00 for a full day.

It’s an okay hotel. I think my perception is colored by the fact that I paid $390 USD (including tax and parking) for one night. That is grossly overpriced. In my opinion, this hotel is worth no more $200/night. I’ve stayed at gorgeous hotels in NYC for way less.
If you can get a good rate, I have no complaints. It’s a decent hotel with nice big windows. The staff were not particularly friendly but that’s not a big deal. The valet was efficient.
Well priced and exceptional service
This was our first stay at the Coast Coal Harbour but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff went above and beyond in all aspects. They were very friendly and helpful in all regards. It is a block from the waterfront so you don’t get a harbour view, but the staff definitely made up for it in their desire to please. The room was also well laid out with space to stretch out.

Lovely clean well run Hotel in a great location.
Lovely clean quite hotel with helpful staff. It is a short walk to the Harbour, restaurants and Canada Place (where we collected our hire car). It has been mentioned in other reviews how nice it was to have full size toiletries, which were very pleasant to use. We had a corner room which was large with a very comfortable bed, tea and coffee making facilities. We did not try the restaurant so I cannot comment on this. We walked to the Harbour and ate there. Without a doubt I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again when we come back to Vancouver.
