Excellent quality but expensive

Everything at Coast Coal Harbour was excellent, from check-in to check-out. Valet parking, comfortable room with upgrade, quality bedding and well appointed bathroom made for a great stay.
Location is convenient if you like being near the waterfront, but you can walk to quite a few places of interest in the city within 15 minutes.
This is not a great value hotel, but good if you just want somewhere where everything works perfectly.

Amazing room, shame about check in

Stayed one night, first time in Vancouver. Bit of a disappointing start as I arrived just after 4pm (after a 10 hour transatlantic flight) I was told my room wasn’t ready (even though check in is from 3pm). I was given a room with a balcony to speed things up and was in the room by 430.

Apart from that, the room was amazing. Excellent size, great view from the balcon. Well located hotel. 10-15 minute walk from the Waterfront Canada line station (for connection to/from Vancouver International Airport, the recommended way to get downtown from the airport.

As the check in was probably a one off, i would consider staying at this hotel again.

Business Trip

Great location close to the water and Stanley Park. Valet only parking was a surprise. Street parking is free from 10 PM – 9 AM. Room service was quick and quality. Appreciated that it didn’t include an additional fee, just a mandatory 15% gratuity. Bed comfy and room nice with lots of additional amenities like slippers and robes. No small, adjustable mirror in the bathroom which I missed.

Comfortable convenient hotel near harbor.

The Coast Coal Harbour is a very nice hotel ten minutes walk from the cruise ship docks in downtown Vancouver. Very clean and comfortable. Good service. A bit of a “boutique” hotel in that it doesn’t have all the meeting rooms and shops that the Marriotts and others have. None of which were needed or wanted, as we were in town for a few days to see the sights before embarking on an Alaska cruise. Good value compared with the big hotels in the immediate vicinity.

Excellent Hotel in Vancouver

Our stay at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel was excellent and we would definitely stay there again. Everything you want or need is walking distance and very close to public transportation. Very clean comfortable room, good amenities.
