Good location, friendly staff!

This hotel offered our hockey team a great rate and gave us 2 free breakfast coupons per day for the adjoining restaurant. Front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. This hotel is a little dated but overall a great stay.

Concert in Penticton

Great location for any event at Okanagan events centre. Across the street. Good for families with swimmers, pool across hall on second floor. Little bit of street noise on the front side of building. Overall good stay.

Not what I was expecting ( and that was not a good thing )

When I learned I was going to Penticton for a week on business I asked to be booked in the Coast . I meant the Lakefront because the last time I had been up there the Lakefront was a Coast . I was looking forward to my stay . I only discovered my mistake when I arrived . This “Coast” is nowhere near the beach and is definitely downscale from the Lakefront . It is also downscale from any Coast I’ve stayed in . Check-in was easy enough . Parking was also easy and I parked immediately in front of my room . The room was a decent size but pretty shabby . Stained and dirty carpets and bedspread . Dated and worn furnishings that were pretty downscale when new . The word “shabby” keeps coming to mind . The bed itself was actually very comfortable and that , together with simple inertia, is why I stayed . The shower water temperature was very difficult to regulate every time I used it . The TV was pretty old , which really doesn’t matter , but the remote was defective which does matter . Wifi was pretty good . Price was very reasonable ( $90 on for a “King Room”) . Housekeeping was slipshod. They looked after the bed and towels OK but did not clean or replace the bathroom glasses or replenish my coffee 2 out of 4 nights .
So in summary, not up to my expectations nor Coast ( or reasonable) standards .

A little gem!

Once you get past the stained badly worn stair carpet the rooms are great. Clean with comfortable beds, friendly staff and excellent value for money. Close to town centre and a good base for the wine festival. I would stay here again.

Good value for the price

We stayed here Sept 26 to 29 2019 for business. Friendly staff, spacious room and very comfortable beds. The Bears Den restaurant at hotel was good for breakfast. Food was tasty, arrived quickly and the service was great…The carpets had stains and hotel was dated or would have given 5 stars…recommend staying here
