Comfortable and convenient
The location of the hotel is a quick trip from the Penticton airport, coffee shops, stores and restaurants are also nearby. The room was comfortable with an updated modern decor, it was quiet inside of the room, the washroom was clean and well stocked with towels and toiletries.
Good Enough for One Night
I was in Penticton for one night and decided to stay at the Coast Penticton Hotel. I don’t know why but this hotel reminded me of a 1970s horror movie. Perhaps it was because we drove in at night and the parking area wasn’t very well lit. My room was pretty bare bone and the bathroom had a peculiar step-up. Also, there was absolutely no counter space in the bathroom. I thanked the stars that I only stayed one night.
Sports Trip to Penticton
The Coast appears to be a converted motel. The rooms (we had a suite) are an unusual configuration. The hallways are cluttered and fire doors are opened to move heat in the hallway which has heaters on the floor, quite a fire hazard. Our room door would not close properly. The dog could be heard barking quite frequently and went on for long periods. On check-in a piece of previous quest clothing was found in the room, and housekeeping never clean our room on the 2nd day.
Great value for money!
The hotel is older and the exterior and common areas were a bit tired and dated, making me nervous about our room. However, the room itself was surprisingly nice. Recently updated, spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. For only $89 per night, I was quite pleased. Only thing to note is that the room had a lot of beautiful windows but the blinds are not room darkening. We were there in November so no big deal.

My husband booked a suite for us and our two teenage sons. The hotel is really quiet. The hot tub was nice and hot. Comfortable beds and pillows. I love the Earth bath products the Coast provides. Close to Starbucks and the Recreation Centre.
