Good Near Downtown Choice
The hotel is about 10 blocks from Penticton’s downtown Main Street shopping area. Older hotel but nicely refurbished rooms. Our room on the third floor had two comfortably firm queen beds with end tables on either side and one in between, one luggage rack (two would be nice), air conditioning TV, free Wi-Fi, sufficient toy plug ins. Unique large upgraded bathroom – glass enclosed shower (with seat) and a jetted bathtub – pass through the shower tiled floor to the adjoining tub. The shower has a rain shower head (I do not get the attraction of them). Lots of good quality linens, two bathrobes, hair dryer, small in bathroom TV, separate heat control for the bathroom, pocket doors to close off the room, separate toilet room with another pocket door. Writing desk with chair, coffee maker, small outdoor patio with two chairs, indoor swimming pool. Very comfy room, lots of windows, a bit of noise from the street (Westminster Av). We enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Coast.
We stayed 3 nights at the Coast. The hotel is definitely older, but the staff are very friendly and it was quite quiet from road noise. It’s about 2 blocks from the beach so it’s easy to walk anywhere on the north side of town. They have a nice sized fridge and we liked sitting on our deck with a cold beverage. We’ve stayed on the beach on the past and I think we’d prefer to come back to the Coast for our stay in the future.
This hotel is older, but the rooms have been renovated and they did a great job! Very comfortable and had all of the amenities that were needed for my stay. Love the Rain Shower. The outdoor pool had not been opened yet, so I didn’t get to enjoy this. The parking lot is small and so is the elevator, but the stairs are located close by.
My stay at Coast Hotel Penticton
I think Coast Hotel in Penticton , providing great service , in most part great quality , I could see if hotel commit to make a change on Bed quality and add breakfast will bring it to top notch in town.
overall I think I will still choose Coast Hotel if I ever come back to Penticton , as the quality still was way above the value paid
Room was comfy enough but being a suite we were a bit disappointed in the size. A bit small for the 4 adults & 2 small kids. Beds very nice, good amenities in room. Front desk staff very kind, friendly & happy to help. (Thanks for the extra coffee!)
The building is quite old and dated, so is the room itself. Bathroom& balcony really need an upgrade however everything was spic and span!
We managed to get a very good price for this suite, happy we did too as would have been very disappointed if we had paid full or even first discount price.
Overall a good experience.
