Shop Local in Delta, BC

Whether you live in the Delta area or are coming for a visit, you're in luck when it comes to shopping opportunities, especially if you're looking for unique gifts made with love by local purveyors. Delta is made up of three separate communities, which are Ladner, Tsawwassen, and North Delta, and each of them has something unique to offer visitors and shoppers alike.

Visit the North Delta Farmers Market

The North Delta Farmers Market runs every other Sunday between May and October at the North Delta Recreation Centre. This is a fantastic place to fill up on all your local produce, goods, gifts, and personal items. At the market, you'll find vendors selling anything from food to crafts to goodies, and you'll be able to stock up on produce, jams, sauces, prepared foods, baked goods, soaps, skincare items, flowers, plants, jewelry, and more. If somebody can make it, bake it, or grow it, then you're sure to find it at the North Delta Farmers Market.

Take a Trip to the Historic Village of Ladner

Along with hosting the Ladner Village Market in the heart of the village every second and fourth Sunday between June and September, Ladner is also a great place to go for local shops and boutiques. An old fishing village in South Delta, Ladner is a thriving community of people and small businesses, including clothing shops, thrift and antique stores, bakeries, bistros, and other independent stores.

North Delta is home to a number of shops and malls, and it’s a great place to go if you're looking for a special something or a tasty treat. The Scottsdale Centre alone is home to 40 shops and services, including a liquor store, grocery store, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, and more. There are also plenty of other shopping options in and around North Delta, including restaurants, coffee shops, and local boutiques.

Head to Tsawwassen Mills

Tsawwassen Mills is an enormous shopping center that’s home to 200 retailers, a massive food court, and plenty of square feet if you feel like spending the day walking and popping in and out of shops. The mall features big-box retailers like Bass Pro Shops, Saks Off 5th, and Marshalls, as well as a number of smaller stores and plenty of services, including a crepe and gelato shop, chocolate store, toy store, phone shops, and plenty more.

Try the Tsawwassen Quay Market

When you want a different kind of shopping experience, try the Tsawwassen Quay Market, which is located at the BC Ferries Tsawwassen Terminal. The market is home to local vendors and one-of-a-kind shops, including cafes, jewelry stores, gift shops, bakeries, and others.
