Coast Gateway Hotel
Park and Fly
We live about 45 minutes from Sea-Tac airport and when we have an early morning flight, we always stay at the Coast Gateway Hotel the night before. We use their “park and fly” offer and for not much more than regular room rates we get a week of free parking. The shuttle will pick you up from the MasterPark lot and return you to the hotel after dropping off your car. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We usually leave earlier than their complimentary breakfast starts, but on the times we have had it, it was good. There are several good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel for dinner. The hotel staff are all friendly and helpful, especially at 4:30 am when we are taking the shuttle to the airport. We have been staying at the Coast Gateway for years and I recommend it to anyone that has an early morning flight and doesn’t want to deal with the traffic woes of I-5.
could be better
Loved close proximity to airport as bad weather was forecast. Staff was pretty friendly but not too obliging about shuttle usage assistance. Do not get room 125. It’s right in front of dumpster with a sorry view and lots of banging at the dumpster. We also had to walk around workmen, who were removating, and their tools to get to our room. Have seen much better breakfasts at other hotels. No complmentagy coffee in lobby. Did offer flight check in with printing of boarding passes. Very clean.
Simply OK, Pillows are the worst....
This hotel is average, price is a bit high for an average hotel and it’s a 2.5 star, not a 3. The beds are adequate, but the pillows are the worst, glorified bags of cement. The workout room exists but is tiny, at least the machines work. The breakfast is below average. Great location next to Roasters and the airport.
Clean everywhere and bed was firm and not too hard for a good nights rest.
Bad experience with American Airline and they booked me with the Quality first. One step into their lobby and I left that place. They booked me into this hotel and said it was nice as the rep that made the reservations said they had stayed there recently. It was very clean and good bed and the usual hotel morning breakfast was offerred. Good service to the airport and friendly staff. Great find and not that expensive. Keep this one on my list if I have to come back to Seattle as Seattle can be very expensive.
A reasonable choice
After visiting my daughter in Seattle, I decided to stay at a hotel close to the airport rather than have her have to drive me to the airport in rush hour traffic. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and the room was adequate and clean. Although they touted a sound proof building, the traffic noise on International Boulevard made sleeping difficult. I might choose a different hotel next time due to that. Shuttle service to the airport was easy and frequent.
