London Grill
Dining in the landmark London Grill Portland restaurant is a “must do” when visiting The Benson Hotel. Now under the direction of Serge Selbe, executive chef, the culinary staff has set the standard in Portland for quality and service. The new and improved London Grill features a fresh new decor and menu, the tradition continues with an enriched experience at every meal period.
The London Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch.
Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., Monday - Saturday
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Monday - Saturday
Dinner: 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Sunday - Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Friday & Saturday
Brunch: 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Sunday only. Last seating is 1:00 p.m.
The London Grill also boasts one of the most extensive wine lists in the Northwest, with more than 6,000 bottles and awarded Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence in recent years.
For the past 50 years, the London Grill has built a world-class
reputation for exciting dining and numerous specialty dishes,
including: Sweet Smoked Paprika Garlic Soup with Spinach, Dungeness
crab, shrimp and poached free range egg; Pan Seared Duck Foie Gras
served with fingerling potatoes and garlic butter; Grilled Lamb
Chops with Ratatouille crépinette, polenta, Chinese
eggplant and hazelnut emulsion; or, Rib Eye Prime served with thyme
scalloped potatoes, wild mushroom fricassée and the ever
popular local breakfast favorite, Eggs Benedict.
The London Grill's new executive chef has dedicated decades to
creating award-winning cuisine. His impressive list of culinary
awards continues in the tradition of Chef Emeritus, Xavier Bauser,
who has personally prepared elegant meals for famous celebrities
and every U.S. president since Richard Nixon. The Benson culinary
team has collected Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in international
culinary Olympic competitions.
The London Grill features three private dining rooms for parties, rehearsal dinners, family reunions, business luncheons and romantic dinners.
The Little London: Private dining at its best. Accommodating up to 22 people, newly decorated and flexible in set-up. Separated from the main dining room by French doors.
The Wine Cellar: A secret door in the back of The London Grill leads you into our private wine cellar where you are surrounded by over 8,000 bottles in our collection that is one of the best in Portland. For 2-10 people.
The Wine Room: Sliding French Doors open to a beautiful private dining room with oak trim, brass chandeliers, vaulted ceiling and new Midsummer’s Night wall mural by local artist, Paul Missel. Seating available for up to 14 people.

The Palm Court
The Palm Court is The Benson Hotel’s classic lobby restaurant and lounge now open for lunch beginning at 12 pm daily. The Palm Court features a new menu with comfort food, house made soups and fresh salads. This full service restaurant and lounge, located in the gorgeous lobby of The Benson Hotel, offers an impressive collection of wine, beer and spirits from around the world. The rich wood trim glistens from the flood of natural daylight that flows through the new leaded, beveled glazed window treatments, adding ambiance to comfortable seating areas. The ambiance is second to none for comfort and atmosphere, offering a warm environment for drinks, food and conversation with some of the friendliest and most experienced servers in Portland.
