    London Grill
    Dining in the landmark London Grill is a “must do” when visiting The Benson Hotel. Our culinary team has set the standard in Portland for quality and service. Now, with a fresh new decor and menu, the tradition continues with an enriched experience at every meal period.

    Over the years, the London Grill has become known for its table-side dining and numerous specialty dishes, including Dungeness crab cakes with roasted red pepper sauce and cilantro, dill-cured salmon served with cucumber and red onion salad, roasted rack of lamb, and the local breakfast favorite, Eggs Benedict.

    The London Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch.

    Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., Monday - Saturday
    Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Monday - Saturday
    Dinner: 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Sunday - Thursday 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Friday & Saturday
    Brunch: 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Sunday only. Last seating is 1:00 p.m.


    The London Grill also boasts one of the most extensive wine lists in the Northwest, with more than 8,000 bottles and awarded Wine Spectator’s 2007 Award of Grand Excellence.

    The London Grill's new Executive Chef has dedicated decades to creating award-winning cuisine. His impressive list of culinary awards continues in the tradition of Executive Chef Emeritus, Xavier Bauser, who has personally prepared elegant meals for famous celebrities and every U.S. president since Richard Nixon. The Benson culinary team has collected Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in international culinary Olympic competitions.

    The London Grill features three private dining rooms for parties, rehearsal dinners, family reunions, business luncheons and romantic dinners.

    The Little London: Private dining at its best. Accommodating up to 22 people, newly decorated and flexible in set-up. Separated from the main dining room by French doors.

    The Wine Cellar: A secret door in the back of The London Grill leads you into our private wine cellar where you are surrounded by over 8,000 bottles in our collection that is one of the best in Portland. For 2-10 people.

    The Wine Room: Sliding French Doors open to a beautiful private dining room with oak trim, brass chandeliers, vaulted ceiling and new Midsummer’s Night wall mural by local artist, Paul Missel. Seating available for up to 14 people.

    The Palm Court
    The Palm Court is the Benson’s timeless classic lobby restaurant and lounge. Your senses will be transported to a better time with a full complement of classic cocktails and soon-to-be classics, like the signature Benson Bubbler Champagne Cocktail. This newly renovated space is vibrant, cozy and comfortable, much like the lobby of this grand hotel, with a new degree of intimacy and privacy.

    The Palm Court serves lunch and dinner daily. Monday through Friday from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, enjoy a Prime Rib Buffet or our Soup and Salad Bar, plus a full range of comfort food ranging from hot sandwiches to fresh trout seviche. The rich wood trim glistens from the flood of natural daylight that flows through the new leaded, beveled glazed window treatments. The ambiance is second to none for comfort and atmosphere, offering a warm environment for drinks, food and conversation.

    As day turns to night, The Palm Court features the city's best musicians “live” Tuesday - Saturday nights. A late night menu is also available offering Flame Broiled Steaks, The Palm Burger or Cedar Wrapped Spring Salmon to name a few. The new menu is available from 5:00 pm until midnight weekdays and 1:00 am weekends.

    Whether you arrive late or greet the day early, Room Service is available 24 hours a day, with a wide selection of freshly prepared menu items for your satisfaction and convenience.

    El Gaucho
    El Gaucho is a nostalgic dining event that takes you back to a special time. Experience the mouth-watering menu of this Argentinean inspired steakhouse, located directly next to The Benson Hotel. Tableside preparations like Chateaubriand and Bananas Foster are paired with extensive world class wine lists.
