Sun Rivers is one of the few
"true" desert golf courses in Canada, Sun Rivers is set among
natural sage, rolling hills, bent grass fairways, gently contoured
greens, and sweeping views of the Thompson Valley. The par 72, 7050
yard golf course meanders in and around residential neighborhoods
and community amenities.
The Dunes at Kamloops truly
is nature's golf course. Lush fairways carve through the sand that
was once the riverbed of the North Thompson. Wild fescue and wheat
grass stand guard along the fairways, giving way to dunes that
transform into vast waste areas and challenging bunkers. Each
fairway leads to a meticulously groomed green
Rivershore Estate Golf
Course is recognized as one of the finest tests of golf in
Canada and is the recipient of numerous awards including a 4-star
rating for Places to Play from Golf Digest Magazine. Few places can
rival the natural beauty and appeal of Rivershore. Laying in a
desert-like setting at the foot of sagebrush-covered hills above
the majestic South Thompson River, Rivershore is honest, fair,
unpretentious and generously bunkered (95 bunkers). Water is used
sparingly on this superb links style course.
Canoe Creek Golf Course is
a 'must-play' par 72 course designed by Dave Barr and ICBI Golf
Projects. At over 7000 yards, this contemporary course encompasses
125 acres of farm and treed land, blending the natural rolling
hills and unique waterways into a "Championship course" capturing
the lovely scenery of the region. Four sets of tee boxes are
available for players of all skill levels to enjoy.
Talking Rock Golf Course is
situated on the south shore of Little Shuswap Lake. Experience all
the history, culture, and natural beauty of the area. The course
plays through a mature sandy forest and finishes along the
shoreline of Little Shuswap Lake. This course blends with the
strong features of the land giving an experience with natural and
rugged character that will require strategy and thought for players
of all skills and abilities.
