Pleasant Stay

Stayed 3 nights mid-week and had a very pleasant stay. Room was clean and functional and the bed was very comfortable. Had a peek-a-boo view of the harbor. Located a short walk from the Clipper Terminal near Fisherman’s Wharf. The hotel has a very nice restaurant, The Blue Crab, with a nice harbor view. We stayed as part of a Clipper Vacation Package and would definitely go back.

Comfort and quality

This is a fantastic hotel with large comfy rooms, quality bedding and a very friendly staff. When we first checked in for our six night stay, we were put in a room that was not what I had been guaranteed. After calling the front desk, the issue was resolved in minutes. Their restaurant, The Blue Crab, is very good with beautiful views of the harbor.

Not up to its Vancouver cousin

Property is situated on the waterside on the edge of Victoria but within easy walking distance, and a very nice walk it is into town along the coast path.

Rooms are functional, a good size, have all the things you would expect. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is a good size. Restaurant has a stunning view so they charge very robust prices. Property and fittings very much of the standard we found in the other Coast hotel we stayed in in Vancouver.

What was not the same was the service. Reception was slow and not very courteous. We planned this as some down time in our tour of Canada so on the first morning we weren’t out of our room before 12.00 midday which apparently is so late that your room is not serviced. When we got back to the hotel in the late afternoon I went to reception where a lady and a man behind the desk found it amusing that the room hadn’t been cleaned. They asked if we wanted more towels, I asked for more coffee cups (cardboard ones) and they said they would get them to us. Two hours later when I went back and asked again the same two people were still amused, our request was still on their ‘to do list’.

On our first evening I went to the bar to get a drink. It seems probable that the bar is just for staff to use and not for customers as I was studiously ignored by several staff until one of them very pointedly asked me what I wanted, made a big deal out of getting me the drink and with much huffing and puffing got me to sign the receipt.

Nice hotel but poor service from the staff.

A great stay

Stayed at this hotel with friends for 4 nights. Rooms very nice, staff very pleasant and helpful, location excellent.

Breakfast, in the hotel, overlooking the Inner Harbour is a must, for all new visitors to Victoria.

Fav hotel in Canada so far!!

Great spot!! In a quiet residential area but on the harbour front and a short walk into downtown Victoria. Or if you don’t want to walk the hotel has a free shuttle service that will take you anywhere you want to go in the downtown area!!

Staff were incredible helpful and friendly!!! The room was big and clean with a nice balcony. Had great pool and spa facilities!!

Will defiantly stay again!!
