Furnishings of budget motel
I wasn’t super impressed with this one. Did an overnight in vic and haven’t stayed at coast Victoria before. Check in was a breeze, lobby and bar were lovely overlooking the water. My room was just ok really – not up to coast standards. I stayed in a standard king room non-view. Room was clean but furnishings dated and had several nicks and knocks/scratches. Could use some serious updating. Carpet kinda old as well. Staff and housekeeping very friendly and did a lovely job with what they’ve got – this hotel would be fabulous after a reno – location and views fantastic. I don’t think I would stay again any time soon.
Excellent Place to Stay in Victoria
I stayed on a Travelzoo voucher here and had a wonderful overnight trip. I had appointments two days in a row in Victoria and the location is superb for being close to town and also feeling like you’re in the neighbourhood areas as well. My generous-sized room had a very comfortable king-sized bed, a bar fridge, wine glasses, and two comfy armchairs. The view onto the Victoria Harbour was wonderful and there was a tiny balcony to have morning coffee on. The wifi was pretty reliable. There were interesting streets to walk around and you can easily explore the Ogden Point area and Fisherman’s Wharf. It’s a quiet location and I slept very well. I didn’t use the pool, spa or fitness room, but I would try those another time. Nor did I use the shuttle service that they have to take you downtown if you don’t want to walk or drive. Parking was available for $15 in a secure underground lot. It was a lovely hotel and I would recommend it.

I live in Victoria and enjoyed a special getaway at this hotel. The staff and amenities made this a wonderful evening. We had an amazing water view and enjoyed a very comfortable stay. The staff here are wonderful and go out of their way to make your stay special. You are close to downtown Victoria and our wonderful museum is only a 10 minute walk away. The inner harbor and legislature buildings are also right there. If you have the need this hotel has a free shuttle which we did use to enjoy the Imax Theater. The water views are amazing and the beds are comfortable. Even though you are close to downtown the evenings are quiet resulting in a great sleep. The sea planes do start at 7:30 am but this did not bother us. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Hotel in Victoria
We’ve stayed there, I believe, five times now and they just keep getting better! The harbor side is where all the action is. I could just sit in their dining area and watch the float planes, harbor taxi’s, tugs, ships and police boats all day long!

The weather was on our side when we arrived at the hotel. I had called the hotel the night before and requested an early arrival, when we checked in our room was ready. What a great start to a even better weekend. The room had a great view of the harbour and the walkway. Everyone at the hotel was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was awesome with a mini fridge, coffee maker, and micro wave everything you need to make your stay a very pleasant experience. The parking is expensive so we parked at the lot that was only 1/2 a block away from the hotel and this was half the price. The pool area was a welcome oasis with a sauna, hot tub and indoor outdoor pool. Even though it was spring break we found ample time to use the facility without allot of younger bathers. We have stayed at several downtown hotels and we found the Coast Victoria Harbourside to be one of the best, we would recommend this property to friends and family and will be making it our number one choice for Victoria getaways in the future.
