Comfortable Hotel in the heart of Vancouver

I just spent 4 nights at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel with my husband who was in Vancouver for business. The hotel as previously noted is in an excellent central location. If you don’t mind walking you can easily walk to many downtown attractions such as Stanley Park or Gastown. The convention center and waterfront is also just a 2 block walk away. The free wifi was great and worked consistently well our entire stay. There is no mini fridge in the room. I personally didn’t need one so I didn’t bother me. Valet service is required if you want to park at the hotel. I think it was around $30 a day. There were parking garages in the area that were advertising rates of $15 a day so if you wanted to save a few dollars. Since I used the car pretty much everyday I was there I felt that the valet was convenient if you factor the price in beforehand so it’s not a surprise. The king bed was very comfortable and we didn’t hear any street noise or noise from other guests. All the staff I interacted with were very pleasant and helpful with suggestions and directions. We also had a nice view! I didn’t try the restaurant or pool so I can’t comment on them. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and look forward to coming back next time I’m in the area.

SPECTACULAR LOCATION

This hotel has one of the best locations in Vancouver. It is a very short walk to the water and on a sunny day in Vancouver this is the place to be as you can walk for miles along the waterfront and really appreciate what a beautiful city you are in. The view of the north shore mountains are spectacular.
The staff at the hotel is genuinely friendly and very helpful. You are very close to public transportation and getting a cab is extremely easy. There is a lovely restaurant downstairs and many other restaurants within a short walking distance. They have an outdoor pool and hot tub which is kept at a wonderful temperature and the pool is open early and it closes late. We had a room on the 20th floor with a comfortable living room off the bedroom and a small fridge for beverages. A wonderful spacious bathroom with a separate shower and a lovely soaking tub. Every night they left chocolates and water by the bed. The coffee in the room was excellent and that is something very few hotels get right. A very well managed hotel.

Nice hotel with a very nice room

Stayed with my husband for a week while on a business trip, February 11-17. The hotel is nice and clean with very comfy beds. The staff was nice and friendly.

The pool is somewhat outdoor and if you chose o use the pool during business hours you could people working at the offices across the building. It seems that the hotel has a nice quality assurance program, one day the maid forgot her QA sheets in the room and I was pleased to see that they have 30+checkpoints.

The hotel does not have its own parking, you must used the valet service for $30 , which I found a bit expensive/ WE rented a car for the week-end and we parked at a public parking across for about $22 so perhaps going with valet parking makes sense

Great location, clean facilities but thin walls and no fridge

We chose this hotel because of it’s location. It is close to the harbour and Canada Place which is where most of the tourist spots are. It was a 5minute walk to the main shopping area and not too far from West End where some nice restaurants and Safeway was. The staff were very courteous and helpful, and the hotel was clean and modern. Internet was free and connection was strong and fast.

A major issue we had was the lack of a bar fridge so we had no where to store our drinks or any food we brought back to the hotel. There was even no kettle, but we rang front desk and they then provided us with one. There is NO self service laundry facility here. The laundry rates were EXTREMELY overpriced, nearly as much as the dry cleaning rates. The walls were thin, so we could hear the family in the room next to ours.
