Coast Coal Harbour Hotel
Good location, clean room, friendly staff
We stayed at the Coast Coal Harbor while visiting friends that live nearby. The room was available when we arrived, The front desk was very efficient and friendly. We were asked if we minded a high floor…which we do not. The room was quite with a comfortable bed. Only thing lacking was a side table on one side of the bed (actually a little stange).
Terrible value, rude staff
We selected this hotel for the night of our wedding and obviously rented the most expensive room; top floor with a view, as we only get married once. Upon our arrival (in our wedding attire still), not ONE of the 4 staff members in/around the desk area congratulated us. We went up to our room with a view, and the only view we received was of the towers blocking stanley park. There was no mini fridge or even a complementary bottle of water in a hotel room we paid 400$ for. Disgusted at the value and incompetence of the staff members working there.
Nice quiet place to enjoy Vancouver
Recent 4 night stay in Vancouver, really enjoyed our stay. Large clean room, well maintained. Adequate bathroom. Nice to have use of pool, spa and gym. Great location for exploring the harbour and Sea wall. Only let down was the lack of fridge in our room. Overall great place to stay at a reasonable price.
All-around excellent hotel
I stayed with my partner 5 nights in August and could not be happier with our choice. Sheron at the front desk was the first person we met and was a delight. She was able to accommodate our early arrival with just a short wait and upgraded us to a high floor, corner room with a spectacular view. Everyone on staff we met was polite and helpful, actually, eager to help. The room was spotless, as was the entire hotel. Great location in Vancouver, near the cruise ship dock, the float plane airport, Stanley park and a host of other attractions. Lots of good restaurants nearby. We also tried Preston’s, the hotel restaurant and found it excellent. A short menu, but super food and service.
The tub in our room was huge. I would suggest the hotel add grab bars to it to assist entry and exit and to steady one’s self while showering.
We would choose this hotel first for our next trip to Vancouver.
Amazing stay at Coast Coal Harbour
I had the pleasure of staying at the Coast Coal Harbour, from the initial arrival at the hotel, the bellman greeted me with a smile! The front desk associate was friendly, and very informative about the hotel amenities and surroundings, she even gave me a map (which I very much appreciated). I had a delicious breakfast at Prestons! There was a lot of local and seasonal items on the menu. The server was knowledgeable about the menu, she was attentive, without being over bearing. Every time I left and returned to the hotel I was greeted, really genuine touch. The housekeeping was seemingly invisible, my room was always immaculate, yet I never saw a housekeeper. The hotel in general was “a home away from home.” I look forward to returning and staying at a Coast Hotel.
