Coast Coal Harbour Hotel
Convenient, spacious, great views
We arrived in Vancouver on the Snow Bus from Whistler, and after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, managed to find the right bit of West Hasting Street! We had a really spacious room on a high floor (exactly as I had requested in advance, great service) and a very comfortable bed. The icing on the cake were the amazing views over Coal Harbour from our floor-to-ceiling and really well soundproofed windows. Comfortable bed, although the first night the a/c was really loud but it was temperate enough not to need it the second night. Lovely products in the bathroom and liked the tassimo style coffee machine a lot.
In terms of location, it was an easy walk to the waterfront and to the underground – not too far into Gastown either, and also successfully caught the bus to the Botanical Gardens. There wasn’t masses of restaurant choice in the vicinity of the hotel; the first night we ate at the hotel restaurant which was really tasty with great service and cocktails, breakfasted at the Urban Spoon across the road – and got take away pizza one night whilst we watched the hockey!
Nice room, great staff
Stayed here for 2 nights – nice place. Clean, close to the seawall, walk to Gastown easily. Room was clean, comfy bed and pillows. Staff are awesome – they were able to loan a charger when we forgot ours. No real view (expected in room rate) but noise from ice machine was disconcerting, and the elevator woke us up once. Wish there was a room category that covered those, so we could have avoided it. Good bathroom amenities – large format body wash, shampoo, condition and lotion – eco friendly, but still CLEAN! And lovely smelling body wash.
Would stay again!

Really good DT hotel
Stayed here recently for three nights for work. The hotel is in a great location, close to the water. It isn’t a 5 star hotel, but it is a very, very good hotel.
Check-in was very fast and friendly. I had a room on the sixth floor. The hotel itself is newer so the room was very clean, very functional. Comfy bed and a good shower .. what else can you ask for. Also nice to have Starbucks coffee in the room.
I did eat at the hotel during the meetings, and the food everyday was really good .. better than expected. There is also many great restaurants within walking distance. As well, the Olympic torch and seawall are only a few minutes away.
This is a very good hotel and I would absolutely stay here again for work or personal.
Stayed 3 separate times in March 2014. Great location, close to the harbour and city precinct. East walking to Waterfront area. Modern fresh hotel, excellent service, lovely comfortable rooms.
711 just around the corner and excellent eatery/supermarket across the road if you don’t want to eat at the hotel.
We stayed over a weekend to go to a Canucks game. Flew in and walked to the hotel from the harbor. The hotel is ideally located downtown, and the room, staff…everything was excellent. The pool was a bit cool but that didn’t seem to bother my daughter much. I haven’t had such an excellent sleep in months. Would highly recommend.
