Coast Coal Harbour Hotel
Good location, nice views
After a long 6 hour road trip from the US, we arrived at the Coast Coal Harbour hotel for a work conference from April 1-4 2015. The Valet parking attending was efficient and helpful, though it’s Valet parking only at 35 Canadian per night. Check in went quickly.
We had an extra large King bed and a water view of the Chevron refueling station on the harbour. The view was quite lovely at night from the window with the twinkling lights. The bathroom was spacious and modern. It was a decent sized modern room with all the usual amenities. House keeping was efficient and fine. There is free wifi here, which works well enough. We were left a complimentary bottle of wine which was a nice thoughtful touch.
This location seems perfect for waterfront activities, close to the convention center, restaurants, and in the middle of most of the action for tourists or business visitors alike. We even walked from the hotel to Stanley Park, though it was quite a long distance. It seems ideally situated for most visits to Vancouver.
We ate once in the hotel restaurant and the wait staff was kind and offered up dining suggestions. The food was decent and came fairly quickly though the menu wasn’t extensive.
Overall it was a nice place to stay in Vancouver, a decent value and I might return if I have business in the area again.
A Room with a View
Had a great stay here for 2 nights mid April. The staff were all pleasant and accommodating, the rooms were bright and tastefully decorated and we couldn’t have asked for a better location to explore Vancouver. A special mention of the nice bathroom products – not the usual cheap and nasty stuff. We will definitely return to Coast Coal Harbour.
Close to everything
I stayed here while working a convention. 2 1/2 blocks from the convention center. Close to everything. Staff was very hospitable. The bar and restaurant were fine. Good food. The bartender remembered us and remembered our drinks from the night before, very friendly. Rooms nice and clean. More on the modern side. I had a nice view of the bay. I also parked my car while there, parking was over $30 per night, although I thinks that’s pretty high, I guess it’s pretty standard. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for our honeymoon....
I had attended a meeting at the Coast Coal Harbour in 2012 and loved it then. When we were looking at hotels in Vancouver for our honeymoon we decided on the Coast Coal Harbour. We simply had the best time. Sheron, at the Front Desk, greeted us upon our arrival and each morning when she saw us. She gave great recommendations for restaurants and attractions. Our room was on the 19th floor with a view of the harbour. The room itself was well appointed and had everything we needed. If you are visiting Vancouver and want to be close to the water, the Coast Coal Harbour is a perfect place to be. We are already planning our next visit.
