Best Decision Ever!
We stayed in the Coast Coal Harbour for four nights – our daughter got married and we travelled from Ontario for the wedding. Friendly, clean, helpful, located – it had it all. We could see the harbour, a 2 minute walk to the boardwalk, almost kitty corner to the Urban Fare which is an eatery (and take out), grocery store and even a bar – delicious, too! So handy…liquor store across the street….got a great deal as we got a wedding deal. We pretty well had the fifth floor – had reserved the hospitality suite for a Friday night meet and greet and Saturday night after party – the bride had the room on one side, us on the other, and my son and daughter each had a room…..pool and gym on same floor…..perfect….our rooms had lovely terraces…wedding was at the Coal Harbour Community Centre and we walked to the wedding (bride, too!) lovely, lovely time…
Good location nice room
One night stay at this hotel. Second experience of this chain, both good. Reception and concierge staff first class. Our room had a city view which meant looking into office blocks, but that aside the room was very good, comfortable and very clean the hotel is near the Cruise ship terminal and 5-10 minutes walk from Robson Street, and 10 minutes walk from Stanley Park. This hotel is worth considering if staying pre or post cruising(5-6 dollars in taxi to terminal), or when visiting Downtown Vancouver as it is close to the vast majority of the attractions and their shuttle buses.

Excellent room, staff very helpful. Comfortable, spotlessly clean, but a trifle cold. Restaurant chilly an
unwelcoming bur staff superb. Asked and got a great room overlooking the bay and mountains. Certainly will return.

Stayed here for two nights either side of an Alaskan cruise. First room we had was 1201 which made us go Wow when we opened the door and saw the fantastic view of Coal Harbour. Second room did not have such a good view but was still great. Enjoyed breakfast, Happy Hour wine and snacks in the restaurant. Appreciated the Eco-housekeeping. When you’re only there for a couple of nights, you don’t need someone in.
Outdoor pool open 6am-11pm warm and very pleasant
Pre cruise hotel required
My husband and I were taking an Alaskan out of Vancouver and could not get into the Pan Pacific Hotel so we opted for Coast Coal Harbour instead. We arrived by car but planned to drop off the vehicle shortly after check-in. The porter was great and parked our car without charge for an hour. Check-in was smooth and the staff member was pleasant.
Our room was large, facing the city. Bathroom was adequate – nothing special; free wi fi; safe; free tea and coffee facilities. The pool was outdoors and was only small and as the weather was good while we were in Vancouver we found the pool to be over-crowded. Not enough room around the pool to place towels etc. No sunloungers – no room for them. If staying on business the pool should be fine for early or late evening laps. Offices over look the pool area. The pool is not for sunbaking etc. The gym was stocked with good equipment.
We thought that the price of breakfast was a bit on the expensive side and found that the Marriott hotel just a few doors down offered a better selection and price. therefore we did not eat at CCH hotel.
