Coast Penticton Hotel
Not fancy but nice place
We arrived around midnight and the person at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The beds are really comfortable. The rooms are not fancy but they are clean and have coffee maker and fridge. I would stay here again if I come back to Penticton.
Very Pleasant Surprise
We booked in here at the last minute as we wanted to add a day to our Hester Creek Villas trip without the expense. We booked a superior king and were very pleasantly surprised. yes, it overlooked a husky station but the room was very nice, clean and modern. We would definitely stay here again and will quite likely book for a couple of nights next year. Easy walking distance to the beach and to “Downtown” Penticton. Saturday farmer’s market was excellent.
The Coast has upgraded some of their rooms, and all for the better. An outdoor pool as well as a smaller indoor pool are very nice. The two queen room was very spacious, with modern furniture and pleasing color decor. The bathroom fixtures also had a modern upgrade. There was a small and narrow balcony that housed two plastic chairs and faced East, overlooking an empty lot; the view wasn’t much, but the sun and fresh air was welcoming. The rooms were very clean, no odor of stale smoke lingered, and carpets had a thick underlay. The assortment of toiletries were good. Only complaint would be the towels; they were not soft but rather scratchy.
Handy, Clean and Reasonable
Stayed last night in an Superior (maybe my word not theirs) King room as described by “RedRoadRunner”. All as he reported. Room overlooked the outdoor pool, which was fronted by the road (during the day a fairly busy 4 lane road) but at night they must have closed the road because the room was very quiet. The pool was heated, clean and thankfully still open – not always the case in late September. No F&B on site but everything in Penticon is close. The front desk was welcoming and negotiated the price fairly and with good humour. The hotel, although not on the local golf course, was very close – so if you’re thinking maybe a round of golf and a reasonable stay, try this one.

So much for Street Appeal
I often stay at Coast Hotels, but from the street this one didn’t look up to their standard…….checked into a ‘superior king’ and was wowed by the bathroom with rain head and handheld in a large shower area, joined by a soaker tub for the girls…..almost Vegas!
