Coast Penticton Hotel
Perfect location if you are attending an event at the SOEC
This is an average hotel. The rooms are average, nothing spectacular but not horrible either. The lobby is nice. Was helped by a young man called Julian, he was very friendly. No complaints at all about the staff we dealt with. We stayed on the bed and breakfast deal, breakfast being at the Bear’s Den restaurant. The food was okay, there is a Denny’s across the street but my experiences with Denny’s tells me that the Bears Den is equal to it if not better..except the coffee..it was weak. There is Starbucks coffee in the rooms and our room had a fridge as well. I likely would stay here again if I was ever to take in an event at the SOEC.

I would not stay here again. A group of friends of mine were in town for a local beerfest. We were well aware that hotels are very busy for the event so I booked early. We wanted early check in, and was told it wouldn’t be a problem. We didn’t need a five star hotel, basically a place to crash in after sampling beers all day. The hotel couldn’t honor our early check in request. The front desk attendant was extremely rude and aggressive to our group, and to others in line as well. We overheard other guests in the parking lot discussing this same employee and the level of unprofessionalism. When we returned several hours later to check in, we were once again greeted with attitude from the front desk. Do yourself a favor and stay across the street at the Sandman or the Days Inn. We stayed there in previous years and will not be going back to the Coast hotel.

Friday the 13th!
Maybe it was the day(Friday 13 of March). We were not impressed with the indifference
in having to wait 50 minutes to get into our room.Check in time 3pm.We had to wait until 10
to 4pm. The bathroom had sptder webs behind the door and when turning fan on in air conditioner it looked like the vents hadn’t been cleaned in years. That is it!
Would not go back.
Great indoor pool and hot tub
After checking out prices and reviews for hotels in Penticton, I chose this one. I had 2 teens with me and wanted a pool and hot tub. I agree the hotel is a bit dated, but our stay was very satisfactory and we would stay here again. I agree with the review that Harvey C below made, the rooms were nice, however we weren’t lucky enough to have a jacuzzi suite, we were upgraded to a suite with a separate bedroom. The pool and hot tub area (once we figured out how to get in) looked like it was well maintained, we were there in march so the outside pool wasn’t open yet. After staying a couple days here I would recommend it.
My last visit was extremely disappointing. There were very few people staying at the hotel, and the room I was given had a giant pillar in the middle of the room! Unacceptable.
They seemed to try with putting in nicer furnishings, but you can tell it is all cheep. The bed was uncomfortable, the chair at the desk was far too short to use as a work station, oh and not to mention the sketchiest elevator I have ever seen.
I needed wi-fi in order to work, but they told me they had issues and that I should just use Shaw Open. Eventually they fixed it, but I lost an afternoon of work.
When I checked out I cancelled my reservation for an upcoming 10 night stay because I wasn’t happy with the Hotel, and they didn’t even bother to ask why.
I will not stay here again.
