Clean, Simple, Good Service, OK Location
My wife, toddler daughter, and I, stayed at the Coast Penticton Hotel on May 15-18, 2015. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and have no complaints. The location is about a 15-20 minutes’ walk from the beach, but a bit further (30-40 minutes’ walk) from downtown Penticton. There’s a solid breakfast place right next door, a Mohawk gas station and Denny’s across the street, and a Starbucks and Tim Horton’s about 5 minutes west of the hotel.
We were in a 1-bedroom suite (separate bedroom off of the main room) where we put our daughter in a hotel-supplied travel crib, on the second floor, street facing. There’s an enclosed balcony separating the room from the street, so the noise levels are non-existent from traffic. Sound-proofing within the hotel is average; we never heard our neighbours and only a few times heard stomping kids in the hallway above. (That’s just how kids are, you know.)
There’s sufficient (free!) parking at the hotel, and the two pools are decent enough. The hotel itself is one of the newer (renovated) ones in the city, and more appropriate for families or couples who don’t want to stay at one of the allegedly very noisy hotels right on the beach. The staff were all friendly throughout the stay, and Coast customer service (online support) were prompt and helpful when I emailed them about confirmation of my stay.
The room itself is adequately appointed, and generally clean. Minor suggestions for improvement, that if included would improve the accommodation: (1) alcohol rub wipes next to the remote control units, (2) facial tissue/Kleenex would be good, and (3) a pen and pad of paper on or near the desk. The only “major” item that stood out was a less-than-thorough cleaning of the bathroom: several pieces of dark hair were in the bathtub and several more behind the toilet. Cleaning staff may want to be a bit more thorough in the bathroom. Other than that, though, the carpet, sofa, chairs, and bedding was all very clean.
Would definitely recommend.

Coast Hotel Penticton
Quiet, front facing room well laid out with a sink and mini fridge. The room was very clean and well maintained with maid service every day. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool on one afternoon. We walked downtown and along Lakeshore Drive a few times so were close to amenities and restaurants. Came for the Peach City Half and 10k, which we try to do every year.

picture is not worth a thousand words
our package was for bed and breakfast included…. bed left us very achy and sore half way thru both nights and the breakfast quality was so poor we did not even eat there our second morning…. Coast Hotels should not put their name on this product Not even close to Coast standards .
I visited the Coast for 2 nights and was greeted by the manager, who was very friendly and accommodating. I was put into a nicely renovated room, great bed, large show with over head rain shower. Very comfortable, clean and quiet. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced stay, close to wverything.

This is an older property that seems to continue to try to make things right for the visitors. There are a couple of things that can make or break a room for me, reliable fast internet connectivity is extremely high on that list. This is the second year in a row where I was forced to leave my room and find a coffee shop that could provide me with the internet service so I could complete my work. The room itself was “ok” some of the furnishings are starting to show wear and tear. The bathroom and garbage cans weren’t clean when I arrived but were brought up to standard during my stay. I unfortunately will not be giving this hotel another opportunity to disappoint me.
