Coast Hillcrest Hotel
Very nice property with decks and amazing views from your room.
Rooms are clean and modern with mini fridges, coffe makers, flatscreen tv etc.
Awesome outdoor (and indoor) dining.
The chef is amazing…food is fantastic.
Nice hottub on deck near restaurant…beautiful lounge area with large post and beam esthetics.
If this property had a pool it would have rated a 5 out of 5 for sure.
Staff very friendly as well…will definately recommend this property.
Note..rooms are usually not ready until 3:00pm.
My friend and I were traveling with our two kids and my dog (a 4 pound Shitzu/Yorkie), when we arrived at the Coast Hillcrest, I found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. Our dog even received a little welcome gift (a poop bag and a biscuit). We did see a few dogs around during our overnight stay but you could never tell they were in the hotel. The hotel is very clean and the guests with dogs seemed to be very respectful and do tend to clean up after their dogs. If you have a pet, you are going to be on the main floor, this gives you easy access to take your dog outside. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and very clean. Quite impressive for a pet friendly hotel. The hotel does not have a pool but a small hot tub outside. It was not too much of an issue for us since we were only there for one night but if we were there longer, it would have been nice to have this type of feature. There is a restaurant and the food was pretty good. If you have a chance to sit outside, you will be treated to a spectacular view of the mountains. We stayed two nights in total, one night on our way to Vernon and one on our way back. The service was terrific, the staff were very pleasant, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. I would definitely stay there again, it is a comfortable, clean, quiet property.
Would definitely stay again
I loved how the hotel was off the highway, away from the hustle and bustle of the town. The setting was beautiful and tranquil. We stayed in the room with 2 queen beds and the sofa bed, all of which were comfortable. It was probably the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in! The bathroom was huge as well. Although we were only staying as we passed through, it would have been the perfect place for a lengthier stay. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The price for the room was equivalent to other hotels in the area, but the value for the Hillcrest surpasses the others hands down.
Lovely hotel away from the beaten track
We stayed here with our dog on the way to Calgary and were very pleased. Room and beds were comfortable, views are lovely, and staff is very warm and welcoming. The restaurant has a wonderful patio. Grounds are also well kept and beautiful. I would definitely stay here again
Well appointed rooms with comfortable beds
The hotel itself was very nice. The rooms were comfortable with all the little amenities (shampoo/rinse/lotion/coffee/shower cap/mending kit/shoe shine cloth) you could want. The restaurant was pretty good although the servings were quite small (my salmon benedict had the smallest piece of smoked salmon poking out from under the egg) and the b’fast buffet cost for kids is the dollar value=their age. My 10 yr old daughter barely eats anything so just better to order from the kids menu. We ordered her French Toast for $5.50 and it came with one piece, no bacon or sides. Just that one piece. Fortunately it filled her up.The adult b’fast buffet was better value at $13.95 and my husband really enjoyed it.
The website showed pool photos but there is NO POOL (only a small hot tub-one indoor and one outdoor-adjacent to the patio part of the restaurant) so our daughter was disappointed. We heard other unhappy children who also discovered this news. They mentioned that they would remove the misleading photos.
Otherwise, the hotel room is awesome but I’d probably just go for the adult b’fast buffet if your tweens eat a lot.
