Coast Hillcrest Hotel
Spacious room with a view
Spent one night in a recently renovated room on the third floor with a view to the mountains. Nicely appointed room and bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel has a restaurant and even a small, outside Jacuzzi, but unfortunately we didn’t have time to try either. Hotel is in short driving distance of the center of town, which is cozy with several cafes and restaurants.
Nice Hotel at an excellent value
The upper floor rooms are newly renovated and are well appointed. Check in and out were very efficient, the restaurant on site offers an excellent borscht and some local craft beers. Very quiet setting, clean and most enjoyable

Great helpful staff
This hotel gets a very good based on the people working there. While my king bed room on 3rd floor was spacious there wasn’t anything exceptional about the decor or the room itself. We stayed there purely as part of the Selkirk Tangiers heli ski program but I was really impressed with the efforts the staff made for us. Front desk folks were always willing to help and one tracked me down to give me a ski glove I dropped in the lobby – Chelsea drove me and picked me up at the resort one day. I was the only person on the hotel shuttle that day so she drove me in car and because it was just me said to call when I wanted to be picked up. The dining room has good food and while the service was a bit slow a few times the staff was exceptionally nice – even holding a dinner in the oven for friends who missed a connecting flight.
What a nice surprise
A beautiful lodge just east of Revelstoke with up-scale rooms and gorgeous views. We arrived with a dog and without a reservation and the the staff were very accommodating and friendly in all respects. Excellent meal and dining and overall, a very good value. We were told by several people about the world-class skiing nearby and that the lodge provided heli-skiing and transport to the hill. We would not hesitate to go back and highly recommend it for people looking for skiing and/or a retreat in a beautiful, mountain setting.

Bad lunch service
Food was great, as always. Service was awful. We were served by a young girl, who wasn’t a day past 19, it seemed she just started the job. She was left alone to serve three tables – she was so inexperienced she didn’t know the difference between a small and large bowl of soup, or what grey goose was. Lunch from start to finish took well over an hour and a half…won’t be going back for lunch service.
The problem is not the server. The problem is management leaving an inexperienced server to run the lunch service ALONE on a Sunday on a long weekend.
